I have a passion for huckleberries. I just cannot get enough of them. I love all things huckleberry: huckleberry honey, huckleberry jam, huckleberry bread, huckleberry cake, huckleberry pie -- if there are real huckleberries in it, I'll eat it.
Huckleberries are not easy to obtain. If you go picking them yourself you have to look for wild patches in the mountains, usually in state or national forests where hungry bears are likely to show up and eat a berry or two. I have no wish to fight with the bears over huckleberries. There are people who harvest huckleberries and then sell them to huckleberry distributors, or sometimes they make their own huckleberry products and sell them at local markets.
I've found a few resources for huckleberries that I like and I am sharing them here. I hope you enjoy huckleberries as much as I have!
